Barnet Enfield and Haringey Mental Health NHS Trust and Camden & Islington NHS Foundation Trust have opened a market engagement exercise ahead of a planned procurement for a local risk management and incident reporting system, seeking information from suppliers to help determine the route to market.
The trusts are currently working in a partnership model as the North London Mental Health Partnership, with approximately 9,000 employees, and are looking to merge into a single new organisation from 1 October 2024, provided approval is granted from NHS England.
Documents will be available from the 10 June via the Atamis portal, and the deadline for submissions is 1 July, with a proposed tender publication date of 17 September and a final target go-live date of 31 August 2025 after successful implementation.
Suppliers are asked to register or log in to the Atamis portal for further information, which can be found here.
In an interview from earlier this year, we sat down for a chat with Dr Osman Bhatti, GP and chief clinical information officer at North East London ICB, to catch up on programmes and priorities from the region. Osman kindly shared with us some of the progress updates and insights from NE London. Osman shared with us some of the progress and challenges around access to patient records in the region, as well as details on the Digital First programme, and opportunities for digital health in primary care for 2024 and beyond.
We also covered the deployment of the e-discharge module of the Portasana patient communication platform at North East London NHS Foundation Trust, as part of efforts to support virtual wards, handle patient discharge and support patient flow.
